Apartment complex coming to Sweeten Creek Road

Following the devastation of Hurricane Helene, a new apartment complex will be constructed near one of the impacted areas.

Redwood Commons will be a 70-unit affordable housing complex for seniors. Located at 21 Governors View Road in East Asheville, this complex represents a significant increase in density for the area between South Tunnel Road and the Bleachery Boulevard Walmart.

The four-story complex will consist of a single multi-family building. It will also include an ADA-accessible bus stop along with the required sidewalk infrastructure.
