ASHEVILLE, N.C. — Asheville Pizza & Brewing's South Asheville location is preparing to undergo a major rebrand. Located at 1850 Hendersonville Road, the longtime neighborhood pizzeria and taproom announced via social media that it will soon reopen under a new name: Beer City Pizza.

A July 21st post on the restaurant’s Facebook page confirmed the change is expected to take place next month. “We are rebranding next month and wanted to give everyone a heads-up,” the post read. “New merch and the official Beer City Pizza beer, ‘Pizza City Beer,’ are in the works.” The restaurant's new name leans into Asheville’s national reputation as a craft beer destination. The name itself nods to the city’s unofficial nickname, “Beer City USA".
While the rebrand marks a new chapter for the South Asheville location, no major menu changes have been announced, and the post assures customers that the restaurant will remain open during the transition. The company continues to operate two other locations, one in North Asheville and another on the South Slope downtown. Those locations are not affected by the rebrand.
